Sachelle M Ford
Lecturing Fellow of Thompson Writing Program

Dr. Ford teaches writing seminars focused on African American and African Diasporic literature and culture. Her recent courses have explored Black Power, Caribbean literature, African American literature published in the last 10 years, and the history and culture of African American families. She also teaches the interdisciplinary research seminar course for the Rigel Scholars Program. Her research focuses on formations of kinship in the diasporic tradition. Her current project explores how ambivalent representations of love in contemporary narratives expand our understanding of the condition of being in diaspora.  Her writing has appeared in the Antigua and Barbuda Review of Books, NOVEL, and Gender: Love.
