Sarah is a PhD candidate in public policy, with a concentration in sociology. She is an affiliate student at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) in Rostock, Germany. Her primary research interests are in population aging and health care policy for vulnerable populations. In particular, she studies demography of aging to consider how population composition and change impact our health care system and how these changes impact Medicare and Medicaid. She analyzes the long-term effects of early- and late-life health and social interventions.
