Program leadership/Faculty Development
  • Project manager and instructor to Duke Summer Session faculty (2026), providing faculty development and consulting on pedagogy, course design, learner engagement.
  • Program leader for the year-long Bass Digital Education Fellowship Program. The digital education program was launched in 2019, following the Bass Online Apprenticeship program I led for Duke Learning Innovation (2014 - 2019). Both programs were developed in partnership with the Duke Graduate School.
  • Program leader for the 2024 and 2025 Duke Graduate Academy which offers free online short courses that help emerging scholars prepare for high-level research, innovative teaching, leadership and/or public engagement.
  • Co-leader of the Duke Online Learning Collaborative (with co-director Dr. Beth Phillips, School of Nursing). The collaborative featured speakers engaged in digital teaching and learning across the university. The collaborative met monthly 2014 - 2019.
  • Co-led, developed and presented in multiple faculty development programs, including the Online Course Design Institute (for 2025 Duke Summer Session faculty), the Summer Course Development Grant Institute, the Course Design Institute the Population Health Sciences Fellowship and the GME Medical Education Leadership Track Program (School of Medicine).
  • Co-led BRITE Ideas (in collaboration with Dr. Bridgette Hard), a monthly discussion group on the scholarship of teaching and learning at Duke.

  • Instructor for Responsible Conduct for Duke Community Engagement, a self-paced online course enrolling over 1300 participants for the Ay2024 - 2025 year.
  • Co-led the Teaching Assistant Training Program, Duke Graduate School, training over 700 graduate students (2020 - 2021).
