Overview
I work mainly on ethics, with interests in political philosophy, philosophy of language, and hermeneutics. My research focuses on how our situated perspectives and the language we use shape our interpretations of ethical and political issues. I am particularly interested in how such differences reflect on our disagreements and what this might teach us about how to engage in ethical dialogue more constructively, which is the main focus of my dissertation. More broadly, my research and teaching explore the intersection of literature and ethics, with particular emphasis on the concepts of narrative, identity, and community.
