Tori is a fifth-year Ph.D. student in Classical Studies. Her research interests are in Latin poetry, reception, translation, and feminist studies; her disciplinary interests more generally are in public scholarship and social justice within the field of Classics. She is currently working on a dissertation on violence and power in imperial pastoral poetry. Tori has a B.A. in Classics and Comparative Literature from Brown University and an M.A. in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis. She is currently Assistant Editor of Eidolon
, an online journal that focuses on Classics in the modern world, as well as a volunteer with CripAntiquity, and the regional representative for the South in the SCS Classics Graduate Caucus.
