Tori is a fifth-year Ph.D. student in Classical Studies. Her research interests are in Latin poetry, reception, translation, and feminist studies; her disciplinary interests more generally are in public scholarship and social justice within the field of Classics. She is currently working on a dissertation that recasts the idealized landscape of pastoral poetry as violent and dystopian. Tori has a B.A. in Classics and Comparative Literature from Brown University and an M.A. in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis. She is the former Assistant Editor of Eidolon
, an online journal focused on Classics in the modern world, and the current Assistant Editor of the SCS Blog
. In addition, she volunteers with CripAntiquity and represents the South region for the SCS Classics Graduate Caucus.
