Overview
I am a primary care physician at Duke Primary Care and a Medical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. I provide comprehensive outpatient care with a strong focus on patient-centered, high-quality primary care while also precepting students in the clinical setting.
Alongside my clinical responsibilities, I maintain a strong interest in medical education, mentorship, and academic medicine. I enjoy working with learners in the clinical environment and supporting the development of future healthcare providers.
My scholarly and professional interests center on clinical outcomes, improving the delivery of healthcare through innovative care models and cost-conscious approaches, and enhancing graduate and undergraduate medical education. I am particularly interested in how policy and advocacy can be leveraged to drive meaningful improvements in healthcare systems. I enjoy teaching medical professionals how to engage in advocacy and use policy to create positive change for patients and communities.
