Curtis Twiddy
Senior Lecturing Fellow
Curtis Twiddy received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa) in 1966, and his J.D. in 1973 from Duke University. From 1966 to 1970 he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He practiced law in Raleigh, North Carolina from 1973 until his retirement in 2000 with the firms of Poyner & Spruill, LLP and Lynch, Eatman and Twiddy, LLP, in the areas of estate planning and taxation, tax exempt organizations and charitable giving. At the time of his retirement, he was a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law section of the North Carolina Bar Association, and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
