I am pursuing a Masters of Statistical Science program at Duke University set to graduate in June 2020. Before joining Duke, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Nankai University, China. In the meanwhile, I did an exchange period at Stanford University, California.
Now I have a broad and strong passion for statistical inference（both Bayesian and Frequentist view), statistical learning as well as applying statistical tools to every subject, especially their applications in financial and marketing. I am also really interested in the relationship between statistical analyses and actual decision making, as well as how statistics is communicated to the public.
Besides, I develop theoretical and computational techniques to solve problems in high-dimensional statistics and machine learning, with specific interests in developing methods which leverage structure in the data or side information to yield better prediction and inference.
And I love to learn about interesting problems from other disciplines!
