The Treatment of Obesity in the Multidisciplinary Setting

This quality improvement project used the resources of a multidisciplinary setting (health care providers, dietitians, and psychotherapists) to improve the treatment of patients diagnosed with obesity (body mass index ≥ 30 kg/m2). This approach resulted in generally positive outcomes for the patients in terms of knowledge of healthy lifestyle choices, weight, body mass index, and waist circumference.
