Diagnostic discovery is useful in guiding the management of sports-related injuries and in translational sports medicine research. Utilizing clinical data alongside other diagnostic tools is important for eliciting injury level, recovery times, and need for surgical or nonsurgical interventions. This chapter summarizes the current areas of investigation of various diagnostic tools in sports medicine.
