A new approach to elemental inference in LIBS: A statistical model for spectral analysis

A new technique for automatic detection of elements in LIBS spectra is presented. The proposed model automatically determines the number of elements present in the spectra, and mitigates variations from unknown changes in plasma temperature. © OSA 2013.
