This paper provides a new method to regulate the step length of FWCM by nonlinear companding in time domain, so that the error distribution can be controlled in circuit simulation. Because the technology of domain transform is used, the step length of FWCM can be modulated continuously. Furthermore, the methodology of error distribution control is applied in time domain simulation for lightly damped nonlinear dynamic circuit and results in high efficiency. Some simulation results prove the proposed method for error distribution control to be an effective one.
