Electrofusion of Neurospora crassa slime cells

Optimal conditions were established for cell growth, dielectrophoresis and electrofusion of Neurospora crassa slime mutants. It was concluded that these methods could be applied to genetic manipulations (i.e. transformation and construction of diploid slime variants) of N. crassa protoplasts.
