Dynamics of causal beam refraction in negative refractive index materials was studied. A 10-GHz source frequency was chosen to facilitate comparison with experiments with negative index. The interaction of a causal, finite beam with an interface of a positive index material and a negative index material, was investigated. A finite difference simulation showed occurrence of negative refraction of finite beams.
