Research Interests

I am interested in the noncanonical effects of steroid hormones, particularly estrogen, in modulating protective and pro-regenerative signaling cascades throughout the body, and how these pathways change with age, disease, and injury. My work leverages this foundational knowledge to develop translational, biomaterial platforms for hormone analog delivery in a sustained and controlled manner.
