Overview

Diana Simonds graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2024 with an honors B.A. in Philosophy and Filmmaking. Her thesis project combined film and research to explore adolescent expression, the psychological experience of growing up, and philosophical reflection on the adolescent process. Since graduating, she has worked in Washington, D.C. at International Arts & Artists, a nonprofit that develops and travels exhibitions globally, where she served as an Exhibition Project Manager.

She is now pursing her M.A. at Duke in Digital Art History & Computational Media. Her research focuses on how value is defined and evaluated in the fine arts, with a particular interest in the role of networks, institutions, and visibility. Her work also explores how emerging technologies like AI are reshaping curatorial practice and access within the art world. She is especially interested in making the arts ecosystem more transparent, equitable, and accessible.
