Overview

I am a first-generation Master's student at Duke University studying Population Health Sciences. I have a background in infectious diseases and bioethics, but I am currently transitioning into cancer research. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelors of Arts in International Letters and Cultures (Classical Civilizations) and a minor in Italian.

One of my proudest achievements is being a Dorrance Scholar. Not only has the program taught me the importance of service, culture, and community, but I’ve also been lucky to mentor incoming and current scholars year-round. In my senior year, along with four wonderful scholars, we competed and won $10,000 for a local non-profit, Hope Women’s Center. In addition, during my senior year I participated in the Justice and Equity Honors Network, connecting with scholars nationally to discuss issues like racism, healthcare disparities, and the prison industry. In the Summer of 2025, I presented my literature review titled “'Better Babies Contests' to 'Designer Babies:' Eugenics in the Age of Biotechnology” in Washington, D.C. This opportunity was provided by Barrett, The Honors College at ASU where I also completed my honors thesis with the ForkHPV group, the largest thesis group at ASU to date. I conducted a case study as part of the Ethics, Science, and Public Health group, my section titled “Policy Case Study on HPV Vaccination Mandates.”

As an Arizona Native, I enjoy being active in nature. I also enjoy serving my community, listening to music, taking photos, and exploring cultures through language learning and trying new foods.
