Research Interests
Huda’s research focuses on improving child health, particularly the prevention and management of childhood obesity, through evidence-based, family-centered strategies. Also, she is interested in enhancing the role of primary care providers in assessing and treating children with obesity, including the use of lifestyle interventions and, when appropriate, pharmacological treatments.
She interested on advancing her expertise with implementation science to identify barriers and facilitators for adopting effective obesity interventions in clinical and community settings, and make sure that the implemented intervention is sustainable. She also interested on mixed-method study designs to integrate quantitative and qualitative insights, providing a comprehensive understanding of healthcare practices, provider experiences, and patient outcomes. Her ultimate goal is to develop practical strategies that improve childhood health outcomes and reduce long-term health risks.
