Overview

I am a first-year PhD student in the Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) program at Duke University. I recently graduated with a BS in Biology from Davidson College. My research interests involve host-pathogen interactions and antibiotic resistance and have had research experience in bacterial anti-phage systems and H. pylori-mediated gastric inflammation and carcinogenesis. I am currently rotating in the Heitman lab, where I will be investigating cryptococcal cell gigantism and the mechanisms of ploidy reduction.
