Overview
Lilyann Gardner is a documentary filmmaker from St. Joseph, Missouri. After graduating high
school, she moved to Indiana to attend the University of Notre Dame where she obtained a BA in
Film, Television, and Theatre with minors in anthropology and journalism. Her anthropological
interests inspired her most recent film project, which examines the relationship between folklore
and landscape and the formation of multinational bonds. Gardner hopes to continue using digital
media as a means of preserving cultural heritage and illuminating the diversity that exists within
our communities.
