Overview
My research focuses on understanding quantum phenomena in engineered quantum systems and developing ways to make them useful for quantum technologies. Physical systems that we focus on include ion-traps, superconducting quantum circuits, and defects in solids. Our research interest lies at the interface of quantum information science, quantum optics, and condensed matter physics.

Diverging entanglement of critical magnons in easy-axis antiferromagnets
Journal Article Physical Review B · March 1, 2025 We study the instability of antiferromagnets with easy-axis anisotropy under a magnetic field, uncovering single or even multiple phase transitions at the boundary between noncollinear and collinear spin orderings. Near the phase boundary, the entanglement ... Full text CitePassive error correction with a qubit-oscillator system in noisy environment
Journal Article Journal of the Korean Physical Society · December 1, 2024 In this paper, we study an open quantum system consisting of a qubit coupled to a harmonic oscillator subject to two-photon relaxation and demonstrate that such a system can be utilized to construct a cat qubit capable of passive error correction. To this ... Full text CiteMulticritical dissipative phase transitions in the anisotropic open quantum Rabi model
Journal Article Physical Review Research · June 1, 2024 We investigate the nonequilibrium steady state of the anisotropic open quantum Rabi model, which exhibits first-order and second-order dissipative phase transitions upon varying the degree of anisotropy between the coupling strengths of rotating and counte ...
