Research Interests
As a historian of 20th century China, my research and teaching focus on intellectual history, which interacts with sociocultural history and urban history. My research includes issues of feminism, anti-colonialism, nationalism, mass politics and leftism, as well as questions of labor, public housing, social inequality and governmentality.
