Overview
Sydney Thureen is a MS student in Population Health Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine. She earned her BS in Biobehavioral Health, with a minor in Psychology, from Penn State University in 2022. Her research interests center on population health, health equity, and behavioral health, with a focus on using epidemiologic and statistical methods to understand and address disparities in chronic disease prevention and treatment. Her work aims to leverage large, real-world datasets and advanced analytic methods to evaluate interventions, inform health policy, and improve health outcomes for underserved populations.
