Overview
As a First Year Physics Ph.D. student at Duke, I am learning how to fully leverage my two Bachelors Degrees in Physics and Philosophy to effectively explore and communicate scientific findings.
I am still exploring research fields to choose a research direction that I want to commit to, but am most interested in Experimental Nuclear Physics. My past research experiences at SLAC and CERN allowed me to get a taste of Particle Physics and High Energy Density Science while also gaining familiarity in a variety of coding languages, especially Python. In addition to research, I am intentionally working to become a better teacher and communicator through the Certificate in College Teaching Program.
Outside of my academic goals, I enjoy adventures in the outdoors. I am officially certified to SCUBA dive, belay rock climbers, and conduct Wilderness First Aid. I enjoy playing music, including piano, harmonica, and guitar. I also enjoy working with middle schoolers and teens in camps, youth group, and sports teams.
