Research Interests

My research interests center around non-human primate ecology with conservation perspectives in mind. Currently, I am studying how the gut microbiome may underlie the ability of generalist species to survive in degraded areas; my particular study species is Goodman's mouse lemur (Microcebus lehilahytsara).

Some broad areas of interest are:
- impact of habitat loss and degradation on non-human primates
- impact of anthropogenic stress on non-human primates
- gut microbiome in non-human primates
- lemurs
- use of torpor in non-human primates
- non-human primate behavioral ecology
