Abraham A.S. Katz

Abe is a tech policy practitioner interested in the dynamics that shape mass communication, consensus, and public trust. He worked on problems of algorithmic amplification, misinformation, and governance while at Meta, and currently leads the product policy team at Discord. Prior to working in the tech industry, he worked in education in Pine Ridge Reservation as a teacher and as a researcher. He earned his BA in International Studies and Arabic from Middlebury College, his MBA from UNC Chapel Hill, and his MPP from Duke. He enjoys playing music, woodworking, and going on hikes to bodies of water with his labrador retriever, Lusa.
