Dr. Alison Cooke conducts research on the developmental and psychological impacts of trauma in children and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on emotion understanding and regulation. Through empirical studies and advanced statistical modeling, Dr. Cooke has contributed to the literature on emotion socialization and trauma-informed care.

Her publications reflect a commitment to interdisciplinary inquiry, integrating developmental psychology, clinical science, and quantitative methods to examine complex behavioral and emotional phenomena. Dr. Cooke’s research also addresses methodological challenges in trauma-related studies, including measurement validity and longitudinal modeling.

In her role as Statistician at the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), Dr. Cooke supports data collection and oversees research initiatives that inform national standards of care for trauma-affected youth. Her work supports the Network’s mission to improve access to evidence-based services and integrate trauma-informed practices across child-serving systems.
