The Raleigh Clinical Oversight Committee (ROC) is a physician leadership committee which reports to the Duke University Hospital Executive Committee of the Medical Staff. The committee helps oversee the quality and efficiency of clinical care on the Raleigh campus, as well as providing recommendations on medico-administrative matters.

I serve at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology representative. This committee is responsible for a myriad of functions at the surgery center. These functions include: case volumes, case and professional reviews, and approving credentials of practitioners at the center.

As the division's representative to the leadership committee, I have participated in the developed and championed changes within the Duke Maestro Care (Epic) electronic health record. The committee seeks to standardize the medical record across the department focusing on excellence in documentation while leveraging the tools of the platform to allow for efficient and effective provider experience.
