Overview
Angel received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019. Prior to joining Duke, Angel was a post-doctoral fellow at the NIEHS where he worked on environmental mixtures exposure research and mixture models for clustering ultrasonic fetal growth data. Currently, he collaborates with the investigators at the Duke Center for Human Systems Immunology, Center for AIDS Research, and Department of Pediatrics. His research interests include Bayesian mixture models, clustering methods, multivariate longitudinal data analysis, observational studies, compositional data analysis, and applying machine learning methods.
