Overview
Ms. Streilein served as the Director of Preclinical Education for the Duke PA Program for over 10 years, overseeing the didactic portion of the curriculum. She currently supports student services and provides instruction in lecture, laboratory, and small group settings across the curriculum.
Ms. Streilein's areas of clinical and educational interest include laboratory medicine, women's health and obstetrics, underserved populations, public health, and interprofessional medical education. Her research interests are related to PA education and the PA workforce.

Ms. Streilein has clinical experience providing primary care in a rural community health center and has worked as a physician assistant in public health in a county health department since 2001, with a primary focus on women's health and prenatal care. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked as a nationally certified (ASCP) medical technologist in clinical laboratories and HIV research at Duke.
