Overview
Benjamin Gutscher has taught English in Chinese higher education for 14 years, focusing on English for Academic Purposes from 2013. Before joining Duke Kunshan University, he graduated with an MA with distinction in Teaching English for Academic Purposes in 2023 from The University of Nottingham. Ben's research interests include English-Medium Instruction (EMI), Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL), and technology applications in the classroom. His research on EMI programs included a study into the needs and provisions of language support for such programs in public universities in China for his dissertation.
