Carolina Daffre

Carol is a second-year Ph.D. student in Duke’s Clinical Psychology Program working with Dr. Timothy Strauman. She is broadly interested in studying how coping and emotion-regulation strategies evolve and differ across development and social economic environment.
Carol received her B.A. in psychology from Johns Hopkins University in 2018, where she also worked as a lab manager for an all-undergraduate lab. After graduation, she spent two years as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. There, she studied how sleep impacts the neurobiology, psychophysiology, and symptom presentation of individuals with PTSD and Generalized Anxiety Disorders.
