Overview

Carol is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate at Duke’s Clinical Psychology Program working with Dr. Timothy Strauman. She is broadly interested in studying how self-regulation processes differ across development and are disrupted in the onset of mood and anxiety disorders.

Carol received her B.A. in psychology from Johns Hopkins University in 2018, where she also worked as a lab manager for an all-undergraduate lab. After graduation, she spent two years as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. There, she studied how sleep impacts the neurobiology, psychophysiology, and symptom presentation of individuals with PTSD and Generalized Anxiety Disorders.
