The specific aims for Phase I are to 1) describe the psychological health trajectories of men with prostate cancer who elect watchful waiting; 2) identify optimal intervals during which patients electing watchful waiting would most likely benefit from the WWI. For Phase II the specific aims are to 3) modify the WWI based on descriptive study findings and the theory and 4) pilot test the refined WWI with a sample of older men electing watchful waiting as treatment for prostate cancer.
