In serving as the first Chief Medical Officer at the 123-bed Duke Lake Norman Hospital after hospital acquisition, Dr. Roth oversaw clinical excellence, quality and safety, facility compliance, peer review, FPPE-OPPE, credentialing, patient experience, legacy hospital policy and standard operating procedure revision, bylaws revisions, and risk management. He was involved in physician recruiting, access and growth, pre-installation planning and go live support for Epic EHR, restructuring the quality and safety department, and culture development. Had 8 direct reports.
Fourteen years of informatics leadership by Dr. Roth has included more than 200 national and international informatics lectures and numerous peer-reviewed publications. He is a recognized leader in the field, contributing to various national organizations such as the American College of Radiology (ACR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). His work focuses on enterprise imaging technology and operational integration strategies, standards development, governance, and artificial intelligence.
