Research Interests
My research career has focused on pain and sedation management, disparities in healthcare delivery, innovation and dissemination, and career development. I serve on the HRSA Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Innovation and Improvement Center executive leadership core and co-lead the Knowledge Management and Research domains. I spent 10 years as site principal investigator for the National Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), including the largest clinical trials for sickle cell disease pain. My dissemination expertise is also harnessed in the Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN) where I co-lead the communications domain and am excited to bring this work to Duke Health.
