Dierdre Shipman is the program coordinator for the Duke Dance MFA in Embodied Interdisciplinary Praxis (MFA/EIP). She assists the Director of Graduate Studies in administering logistics for students as they conduct their practice-based research. Having joined the Dance program in May of 2022, Dierdre brings to the table many years of experience with arts administration and working with students at Duke. Outside of Duke, she has been active in the Triangle arts scene as an actor, designer, and producer. She is also a Duke alum and achieved her MA in Liberal Studies in 2014.
