Overview
Dorothy Superdock, PhD is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Duke University. She is a T32 trainee on the Duke Training Grant in Digestive Diseases and Nutrition. Dr. Superdock joined the lab of Dr. Lawrence David in July 2023, after earning her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University where her dissertation focused on the relationships between dietary intake, genetics, and gut and oral microbes. She is also a Swarthmore College alum. In her postdoctoral research, she is combining her interests in genomics and nutrition by working on DNA metabarcoding to track human dietary intake and analyze dietary patterns (FoodSeq), and applying FoodSeq to study the impact of diet in gastrointestinal diseases.
