Research Interests

I am interested in universal cCMV screening and development of protocols to achieve that in our state.  I am interested in pediatric voice disorders as well as opiate use in pediatric head and neck surgical procedures.  I am part of the Duke CleftKit project, a 360 degree outcomes study related to cleft lip and palate.  Within that study we are specifically looking at long term ear and eustachian tube dysfunction as related to cleft palate width and speech outcomes by a variety of validated measures.  Additionally we are investigating sleep apnea with regards to pre surgical planning using computational fluid dynamics.
