Francesca Magario

Her research focuses on Southern European Modernism, examining the emergence of significant metanarrative and metatheatrical trends in Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese literary productions and their intersection with national identity and the rise of authoritarian regimes. Other research interests are Italian cinema, the ventennio fascista, and issues of race and identity in contemporary Italy.
