International American Geophysical Union · 2012 The Hydrologic Sciences Award, known as the Robert E. Horton Award from 1956 to 1998, was established in 1956 and is granted by the Hydrology Section for outstanding contributions to the Science of Hydrology over a career, with an emphasis on the past five years. It is the highest disciplinary recognition for senior scientists within the Hydrology section.
