Academic & Administrative Activities

I am the Director of the Breast and Gynecologic Oncology System of Excellence in the Department of Veterans Affairs, the largest integrated health system in the United States. I work in the VA’s National Oncology Program Office and the Office of Women’s Health to develop services and programming for VA’s 172 medical centers and more than 600,000 women who receive care at the VA each year.  

Clinical Activities

I provide comprehensive gynecologic oncology care for patients diagnosed with gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers, as well as  hereditary cancer syndromes. I have outpatient gynecologic oncology clinics at the Duke Cancer Center (Durham, NC), Duke Women’s Cancer Care Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), the Durham VA and through the VA's National Teleoncology Program. I operate at Duke North, Duke Raleigh, WakeMed and Durham VA caring for patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions and a variety of gynecologic cancers.
