Overview


Dr. Neef is proud to offer outpatient clinical GI care at Duke Children's Subspecialty Services of Greensboro, as well as providing inpatient care and diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures at Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center in Durham, NC.

She has expertise in general GI care, including growth/nutritional issues, feeding difficulties, acid reflux/GERD, GI infection, abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea and constipation. She also has expertise in specialized GI care, including food allergies/ eosinophilic GI disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and functional GI disorders (including IBS, abdominal migraine, and cyclic vomiting syndrome).

From an academic perspective, Dr. Neef has an interest in Quality Improvement in Pediatric GI as well as education and mentorship for medical students as well as for Pediatric and Pediatric GI trainees. She has published several articles on the topic of Quality Improvement for pediatric inflammatory bowel disease patients.

Dr. Neef prioritizes the importance of high quality family- and patient-centered decision making/care and believes in an emphasis on patient and family education and empowerment. She is committed to Duke Health's mission for excellence in always putting patients first.
