The biological assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder. The development of treatment guidelines for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder. Intergenerational effects of traumatic stress. The neurobiology of dreaming. Development of educational programs for mental health professionals that provide a practical synthesis of psychodynamic and descriptive psychiatric perspectives and clinical skills. The development of educational programs for the teaching of psychodynamic psychiatry including the supervision of psychodynamic psychotherapy. The history of psychiatry with special reference to the history of the concept of psychological trauma.
