Research Interests

I am interested in addressing the significant disparity in pediatric cancer outcomes between high resource and low resource settings. I have experience utilizing implementation science methodology to introduce higher intensity chemotherapy in a safe way in a low resource cancer center for the treatment of pediatric mature B-cell lymphoma. In future efforts, I am to continue to utilize implementation science methodology to adapt other proven chemotherapy regimens for safe use in low resource settings. I am also interested in understanding how to adapt novel cancer treatments, such as targeted therapies or immunotherapies, to allow for improved cancer outcomes in low resource settings without exposing patients to as significant of side effects.

In my US based work, I am interested in improving a wide variety of clinical outcomes. This include quality improvement efforts focused on addressing fever in patients with severe neutropenia. I am also interested in research related to childhood cancer survivorship, which looks at improving long term outcomes for children who have previously had cancer.
