Story slams are events that celebrate storytelling by inviting participants to sharebrief stories with an audience. Participants deliver the stories verbally and attendees vote for the “best” story.UNC’s event was held October 2018 at the Department of Medicine’s annual Research Day –stories were solicited fromall Academy of Educator members as well as the Internal medicine Department Faculty, Fellows, and Residents and 6 finalists were chosen. Finalists shared stories with the live audience and the event was professionally video-taped and submitted for publication on theAnnals of Internal Medicine Web site, www.annals.org.

Graduates are expected to fulfill major educational responsibilities and positions within their Department, their academic institutions, the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) and other educational organizations.
