Jess is a second year student in the Classical Studies department focusing on archaeology. Her current interests are in the archaeology of Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean, particularly during the Bronze and Iron Ages. Jess is also interested in early colonizations, ancient funerary art, connectivity, museum ethics, and challenging the field of Classics itself to better incorporate underrepresented voices. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Classics and Art History in 2022.
