Justin Adams Crocker

Assistant Professor of Medicine
Medicine, Gastroenterology
3300 Executive Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609

Overview

I became a doctor because of my lifelong desire to help people. In fact, when asked as a young child to draw a picture of what I wanted to be when I grew up, I drew a picture of myself with a stethoscope. Gastroenterology appealed to me because it involves complaints that almost everyone experiences at some point, and helping people feel better is very gratifying. In my practice, I see adults with common digestive tract issues, including heartburn, abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits, as well as a focus in seeing patients with inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease). I believe spending the time to get a detailed history from each patient is valuable, not only for diagnosing and successfully treating or managing these conditions, but also for establishing an open, comfortable physician-patient relationship.
