Research Interests
I am interested in theoretical physics read as a contribution to philosophy. My research spans the 16th century to the present, and I recently completed a monograph on the evolving relationships between physics, mechanics, and philosophy in the 18th century. My primary interests are in the theories of matter, space, and time, and in the methods by which physics enquires into the natural world.
