Her research focuses on doctrine and polemic, particularly the late medieval contexts and early Catholic critics of Martin Luther, on topics such as the Lord's Supper and nature and grace. Her dissertation treats Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda and the theology underpinning his polemical engagements with Luther, Henry VIII of England, and Bartolomé de Las Casas.
