Patrick E. Logue
Professor Emeritus in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

Currently ongoing research projects in neuropsychology relate to three basic areas: (1) temporal lobectomy effects in seizure patients, (2) attention training in stroke, and (3) organic effects in depression. Referrals primarily involve patients from the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology; students would have an opportunity to work with large computer databases of resultant neuropsychological test data. In particular, working with Dr. Thwaites, postdoctoral fellow in Neuropsychology, would allow students an opportunity to become familiar with advanced medical and surgical procedures including PET scan. Research projects emphasize both the delineation of brain behavior relationships, and the development and validation of treatment strategies.
